Grab your diaries girls - this year’s Miss North West 200 contest will take place on Tuesday, May 12, at the Hospitality Marquee in the Race Paddock.

Interest has already been brisk, but Brian Moore who organises the contest says that there are still a few places available to girls who wish to get a foothold on the glamour ladder.

“We’ve changed the format slightly this year which will allow us to accept a few more entries, and we’re delighted that Morellis of Portstewart have come on board again to give our winner a holiday for two in the sun,” explained Brian.

Local Women magazine will be there and Cloud Nine Beauty of Coleraine are also lending support with goodies bags for the contestants and more.

Miss North West 200 plays a very important PR role for the races. The winner will presents the prizes on the winners’ rostrum.

The BBC’s Adrian Logan and Brian Moore will share the compere roles and popular band KLASS will also be appearing on the night.
