Moira’s Pretty Mary’s in running for major hospitality awards

MOIRA venue Pretty Mary’s has been named as a finalist in Northern Ireland’s awards event for the hospitality industry.

The Moira Bar and Foodhouse will be vying for honours in two categories this year. It hopes to be recognised as having the ‘Pub Food of the Year’ as well as receiving the much-coveted accolade of ‘Bar of the
Year’.

The business will discover whether or not it has triumphed at the Licensed & Catering News Awards (LCN), which is due to take place at the Europa hotel in Belfast on Friday,
June 7.

This is the third year of these awards. It is thought that around 350 guests will be in attendance on the night, which will be hosted by popular BBC Radio Ulster personality Alan Simpson.

Awards organiser and the publisher of LCN, Bill Penton, said: “This is the third year of these prestigious awards and it’s very exciting not only to see the high level of interest from competitors, but also to see just how keen the industry generally is to celebrate professionalism and success among their peers.

“The winners have the satisfaction of knowing that they have been independently judged by SpotcheckNI and found to be offering a service that is second to none in the local marketplace. Well done and the very best of luck to all our
finalists.”
