The band have always been supportive of the local music and arts festival, which is held annually at Tubby’s Farm, and this year is no exception.

“For the past year we have been writing and recording our new album ‘The Difference Between’,” explained lead singer Mike Mormecha.

“We have just released the first song, the title track, and the response has been really good. We have launched a Pledge Music campaign to help us raise the money for the distribution of the album and in just a few days we have already reached 10% of our target.

“We played a few tracks live on our last tour but mostly we have been hiding away and working hard. Now we can’t wait to get out and start gigging.”

If fans of Mojo Fury want to see the band live locally they will have to get tickets for Sunflowerfest because it is the band’s only scheduled gig until later in the year.

“Sunflowerfest is quite an exclusive gig,” continued Mike, “because we are concentrating on the album side of things and getting ready for the release. If fans want to see us then they need to get down to Sunflowerfest.”

Even if he wasn’t playing the festival, he would still be there to enjoy the experience and is looking forward to seeing some of the bands on the bill.

“It’s class,” he added. “It’s one of the most versatile festivals for both families and party goers. I enjoy the festival experience. Alabama 3 and Ozric Tentacles are both really cool. I would go even if I wasn’t playing.”
