More animals, more activities and more fun at Leslie Hill Farm

For many it's as much a part of the trip to the coast as a visit to the beach but this year this working farm has a plethora of added attractions. Diversity is the name of the game in farming nowadays but Leslie Hill has gone several steps further.

Yes, there are lots more animals and attractions but perhaps bigger than all that is the fact that the Farm has become a film set and "Cup Cake", a romantic comedy which is its debut production, is set to be premiered in Belfast on 21st April.

Already critically acclaimed, visitors to the farm will see many of the props from the production and will be able to play in the very tree-house featured in the film. The further good news, not only for the farm but the workforce of the surrounding area, is that there are several more such productions in the pipeline. In that Cup Cake used in the region of 300 extras and 100% of the cast were from Northern Ireland

Leslie Hill is a working farm where participation is not only possible, it's actively encouraged. Not only are there are lambs, chickens, ducks, geese, ponies, goats, rabbits and guinea pigs to be fed but a visit to the wallabies, lama, deer and the Highland cow are an essential part of the visit. A brand new barrel-train pulled by a vintage tractor makes its debut this Easter along with a new concept in relaxation for the parents! The latter refers to the newly built children's play area which is overlooked from the newly-expanded coffee bar meaning that parents and carers can enjoy their beverage with their kids gainfully occupied within sight but not necessarily sound!

Leslie Hill is open for the Easter Holidays from 3rd of April to 11th of April from 11 am to 5.30 pm, Sundays in April, May and June from 1 until 5.30pm and Monday to Friday in July and August from 11am to 5.30 pm. Sundays and Saturdays 1 until 5.30 pm.

There's undoubtedly lots to do and see and a great family day out at Leslie Hill.
