Music in May concerts are a success

The Music in May programme recently enjoyed successful concerts with concerts held for two weeks on Tuesday afternoons.

The first concert, held at Christ Church, Lisburn was headed by the Pond Park Primary School Senior Choir and had everyone tapping their feet and bobbing along to some excellent music from classics and the musicals.

Paul Murphy from A.A Music, who sponsored the grand piano said: “I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed the concert and was very impressed by the high standard of talent, these are great events for the Lisburn community and A.A Music are glad to be a part of it.”

Geoffrey Cherry the piano accompanist said: “We were very pleased with the Choir and turnout to the concert, this piano was also a real treat to play.”

The concluding concert last Tuesday featured one of Northern Ireland’s finest Violinists Alan McClure with accompaniment by Elizabeth Bicker considered one of the countries best accompanists.
