Nature Reserves Manager and local moth expert, Andy Crory will be on hand to help identify and record the wide variety of moths found, answer questions and dispel common myths.

Andy Crory from Ulster Wildlife said: “Moths have the reputation of being rather drab and irritating compared to their butterfly cousins, but in reality moths are strikingly varied in everything from size, shape and colour to life strategies and unusual names. They’re also important pollinators and provide a vital source of food for birds, bats and other mammals.”

This is a free event but booking is essential. Suitable outdoor clothing and stout footwear are recommended. For further information, contact Ulster Wildlife on 028 9045 4094 during office hours or email events@ulsterwildlife.org.
