No summer break for Lisburn's talented youth

NO sooner had the school holidays begun than rehearsals started for Lisnagarvey Youth Society's production of the rock musical Little Shop of Horrors.

For a group of almost 70 young people their summer has been spent learning lines, memorising songs and dances in preparation for the opening of the show in The Island Hall on August 26.

The musical tells the story of Seymour, a down and out florist, who becomes an overnight sensation when he discovers an exotic plant with a craving for human blood.

'Audrey II' quickly grows into a rude, ill tempered R&B singing carnivore and all that Seymour holds dear is threatened.

Garvey's youthful cast are primed to deliver an all action version of this greatest ever science fiction spoof musical.

The show runs from August 26 - August 28 and tickets, priced 8.50, are available from The Island Box Office on 92509254 or online at www.tickets.lisburncity.gov.uk.
