Buses and trains filled with 1D fans left the local area last weekend as some 250,000 fans packed into the stadium across Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, for one of the most highly anticipated shows this year.

As the former X Factor stars, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson, take on their biggest tour to date, it was an extra special weekend for Irishman Niall Horan, who received deafening cheers throughout the show.

With a stage that resembled something from a funfair, there were lots of bright lights, fireworks galore and plenty of fun.

One Direction may have just four years’ experience and three albums under their belts - not the biggest back catalogue for such shows in some of the world’s biggest stadiums - but with a set that featured all the biggest hits, including What Makes You Beautiful, Story of My Life, Little Things, Best Song Ever and Live While We’re Young, the 1D boys certainly didn’t leave fans disappointed.
