Open House line up revealed

INDIE giants Modest Mouse, gothic-Americana act Iron & Wine, conquering London guitar trio The White Lies and the single most exciting Irish act of the last few years, Villagers, have all been added to this year's 12th Open House Festival in Belfast, which runs from September 7-12.

Open House, the 'not in a muddy field festival', takes place in venues throughout the arts and cultural flavoured Cathedral Quarter in Belfast's city centre, including a large marquee in Custom House Square.

It's already shaping up to be quite a line-up with Wilco, Seasick Steve, Old Crow Medicine Show, The Felice Brothers, Dave Rawlings Machine, The Low Anthem, Field Music and Lissie, all previously announced.

Open House also features Chillifest - a fiery food & music phenomenon within Open House festival - featuring funky festival sideshows and Ireland's only hot chilli pepper eating contest. Hayseed Dixie have just been confirmed as the ChilliFest headliners for the afternoon of Sunday September 12.

More festival acts are still to be announced, including a full programme of Irish traditional gigs and pub sessions.
