Operation Freeze Knees

CHARITABLE, brave, insane! These are just some of the adjectives used to describe participants in the annual “knee knocking” swim on Christmas Day in aid of charity.

And as “Operation Freeze Knees” enters its 26th year, the organisers are hoping to build on last year’s record-breaking turnout of more than 50 hardy souls, who stripped off in sub-zero temperatures.

The festive fundraiser gets underway as usual at 12pm, December 25, on Portstewart Strand and raises vital funds for Coleraine Hospice Group.

Entrants are encouraged to wear fancy dress.

If you feel you would like to support the Hospice Home Nursing Service for the terminally ill by entering the annual swim, then please telephone 02870 832735 for a sponsor form.
