Outcasts return

LEGENDARY Belfast punk band The Outcasts play their first hometown show since 1984 when they return with a headlining appearance at the Empire Music Hall on Saturday, July 30.

It is one of only a few live dates announced, which will also include selected festival appearances in England and Europe, timed to celebrate 35 years of Punk.

Original band members Greg Cowan, Martin Cowan and Raymond Falls will be accompanied at The Empire show by Brian Young (Rudi) and Petesy Burns (Stalag 17). Special guest duties on the night will be fulfilled by the revved up rockabilly of The Sabrejets.

Releasing two albums and a string of singles and EPs from 1978 to 1985, the band toured widely, enjoying particular success and notoriety in The UK and France. The Outcasts legacy has just been celebrated with the release of a fourteen track live CD, Vive Lyon!
