Outlaws aim to lasso more fans

THE Outlaws will bring their own distinctive brand of country music to the Carngrove Hotel, Portadown on Friday night when they will perform at the latest in the series of special summer dances there.

An established act on the Irish entertainment scene for several years now the Outlaws are noted for their lively show that embraces the best of Irish and American country music as well as a smattering of bluegrass and popular 60s numbers making them one of the most entertaining outfits around.

What is most interesting about The Outlaws is their uncanny ability to blend traditional styles into a fresh contemporary all-country sound. Singer Sean Hughes is a veteran of the music scene here and he believes that the band have stood the test of time.

"We have always tried to be innovative and enterprising. We place great emphasis on our stage show and we try to keep things as lively as possible," said Sean.

The Outlaws are regarded as one of Ireland's hardest-working country dance bands and are riding high galloping from one end of the country to the other and roping in fans everywhere they appear.

They certainly hope to 'lasso' even more new followers at the Carngrove on Friday night!
