The five kilometre run which is entirely organised by volunteers has the support of the Southern Health Trust, Craigavon Council and the Department of Social Development . The Upper Bann Assembly Member said, “This run takes place in a beautiful setting free from traffic dangers and whether you run, jog or walk the path around the two Balancing Lakes you will increase your fitness levels and improve your overall health.”

Mr O’Dowd stressed that the event was entirely organised by volunteers and he called on people to get involved either as volunteers or participants. He said,

“This weekly run is open to all, whether they are there to train for competition, for the good of their health or just to enjoy the scenery and the fresh air. It costs nothing to take part and you have the opportunity to make new friends and socialise over a cup of coffee in the Watersports Centre following the run.”
