Party night at Ahoghill WI

Ahoghill WI’s president Marbeth Hill welcomed members and guests to the December meeting and Christmas Party.

Business was kept to a minimum and members were thanked for bringing tea parcels that are delivered by Mary Kernohan and Eileen McFall to senior citizens in Ahoghill at Christmas time.

Mary and Eileen have been delivering these parcels for many years whatever the weather. A scrumptious Buffet Supper prepared by the committee was followed by Judith Hamilton’s poetry rendition.

Pat Yates won the magazine prize and Eileen McFall the flower prize. The raffle for a Ferrero Rocher tree was won by Jean Clarke with Ruth Clarke winning the handbag game.

The Competition for the best small flower arrangement for the centre of a Christmas table was won by Mamie Greer, The Vote of thanks to the President and Committee was proposed by Liz Gardner.

The evening ended with the Countrywomen’s Song
