The successful choir boy will lead the atmospheric carol procession and also perform a duet alongside Belfast-born Peter Corry, described as one of the greatest Irish voices of his time.

Peter Corry said, "We are looking for a talented boy treble who doesn't mind performing for seven consecutive nights before a large audience.

"It's a wonderful opportunity for a young man with exceptional singing ability to play a lead role in one of Northern Ireland's biggest Christmas productions."

Last year's boy treble was Rowan Brown from Methodist College and St George's, Belfast, who described his role in The Music Box as a memorable experience, "I really enjoyed being part of last year's show. It was a great chance to perform alongside Peter Corry and play a lead role in a major production. I would encourage any young treble to apply for an audition – it's a chance of a lifetime."

If anyone thinks they could be the boy treble of 2010, they should contact The Music Box on 028 9076 8883 to arrange an audition.

The successful boy treble will be required to take part in several rehearsals in November/ early December.
