Petition to save homes rejected

A petition to the UK parliament asking the government to intervene in the closure of Donaghcloney nursing home and six others has been rejected.

The petition to save the seven Four Seasons Care Homes from closure was rejected because: “It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not responsible for.

“This isn’t something that the UK Government or Parliament could take action on. Responsibility for health and social care in Northern Ireland is a devolved issue. You could raise this issue with your MLA, who represents you in the NI Assembly.”
