The Slovakian artist told the MAIL that her partner had been working in Cookstown but upon his return to Slovakia, she met him online and the couple ended up settling in Northern Ireland.
Petronela is currently working at Lidl in Cookstown and squeezes in time to paint between her job and family.
“I always loved art, but I never painted on canvas; I just drew using pencils. When I left my job, I had some free time and I love being active and crazy so I decided to paint - my first one was very abstract,” she said.
“I paint when I feel emotional; if I’m happy or sad.”
