Pikeman, Yeoman and the Women of 1798 display
What were weapons 216 years ago really like and how did they work?
Tomorrow 16th April, staff from the National 1798 Centre in Enniscorthy will offer a free hands-on weapon demonstration. Staff from the National 1798 Centre will also be offering a chance to learn more about the role women played during the Rebellion. Keith Beattie will also offer an insight into some “local women” of the time.
Everyone is welcome. Event is free and will commence at 7pm in Ballymoney Town Hall. The talk will be followed by tea and coffee.
