Plea to keep Mayor’s Show

North Antrim DUP MLA Mervyn Storey and Cllr Alan McLean have called for the retention of Ballymoney Mayor’s Show after the weekend event.

Commenting Mervyn Storey and Alan McClean said, “With the new Causeway Council coming into operation there is no doubt there will be change.

“However there are some things that should, as far as possible, remain the same. One of them should be the Mayor’s Show.

“Saturday’s event was yet another success and the crowds of people who attended are testament to how much this day is enjoyed by the people of Ballymoney.

But on Saturday he received a 'booking' of a different kind when his name was noted by wannabe policeman Lucas Blair. “It is a great day out, and we would pay tribute to all those who organised and took part and made it yet another success.

“We have now written to the new chief executive of the Causeway Council and will be meeting with him shortly to discuss this and other issues.
