Preparations are underway for Twelfth celebrations

Preparations are now well underway for the Twelfth celebrations next weekend.

Locally the Twelfth parade will be hosted by Magheragall District.

Brethren from Hillsborough, Glenavy, Aghalee and Ballinderry are asked to approach the demonstration de-bus zone from the Moira Road direction, whilst Brethren from Derriaghy are asked to approach the de-bus zone from the Prince William Road direction. Brethren from Lisburn are walking from the direction of the City Centre.

All lodges and bands are to be in position in the Assembly Area by 11am. The parade will commence at 11.30am sharp in the following order: Magheragall, Ballinderry, Derriaghy, Lisburn, Hillsborough, Aghalee, Glenavy. The Platform proceedings will commence at 2.00pm. The return parade will commence at 4.30pm. Lodges and bands are to be at their designated points by 4.00pm. A parade will also be held in Lisburn city centre on Friday morning prior to the main parade. Bands and Brethren to assemble at Lisburn Orange Hall from 8.30am for the parade to leave at 9am sharp. The route will be Railway Street, Castle Street, Seymour Street, Queens Road, Union Bridge, Gregg Street, Mercer Street, Sloan Street, Union Bridge, Bridge Street, Market Square, Market Street, Smithfield Street, Market Place, Chapel Hill, Longstone Street, Ballinderry Road to meet with Maghergall District and the rest of the South Antrim combine for the main procession. The returning parade, returning at approximately 5pm.
