£28,000-plus Dromore pump-park plan

Plans for a £28,000-plus ‘pump park’ in Dromore were due to go before Banbridge District Council last night (Monday).

The pump park, a track facility for mountain bikes, was approved by council in early September, for constructionin Dromore Town Park.

However, due to the requirement for planning permission, it was not possible to construct the park in 2012/2013 as originally intended and so no allowance was made for the project in the 2013/2014 estimates of expenditure.

Council approval was last night being sought to fund the pump park, to the tune of £28,825 , from slippage in this year’s Capital Programme.
