Pumkinfest ghoulish event
Pumpkinfest is back – the hugely popular autumn spectacular returns to Castle Ward, Downpatrick, on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 October.
Over 3,000 plump pumpkins are being delivered to the National Trust property, situated on the shores of Strangford Lough, for the annual festival that attracts crowds from across counties Down and Antrim.

People are also encouraged to create their own scarecrows and bring them along to enter the ever-popular scarecrow pageant!
Scarecrows can be big and beautiful, small and elegant, themed or traditional, and should be dropped off at the pumpkin marquee between 10am and 3pm for registration, ahead of judging.
