This is followed by the heart-warming and hilarious Sullivan’s Travels on November 24. This 1941 classic combines laugh out loud humour, drama and old time Hollywood glamour. Handsome Joel McCrea leads as the spoilt, self-involved film maker John Sullivan, who tasks himself with travelling cross country as a hobo to discover the real America.

On-screen romance is provided by the stunning Veronica Lake in one of her most famous cinematic roles. Just in time to warm the cockles of your heart for Christmas, the all-time favourite It’s a Wonderful Life is screened on 1 December. Frank Capra’s masterpiece is now regarded as one of the finest films ever made. Set in the small community of Bedford Falls, we follow George Bailey, played by the excellent James Stewart, as he reflects on his life with the help of angel Clarence. This life-affirming classic is just the ticket for a rainy December afternoon – Come along and watch it at the Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre!

Admission to all the films is just £3. For further information, visit www.roevalleyarts.com
