Ramble and roast at OxfordIsland

Craigavon Borough Council’s ‘Ramble and Roast’ takes place on Sunday, February 23 at Oxford Island, starting at 10.45am.

The informal walk will leave from the Lough Neagh Discovery Centre and will take in the habitats and species of the nature reserve at Oxford Island, including the woods, ponds, lough and wildflower meadows.

Interpretative guides from the centre will be leading the walk and talk which will include a visit to some of the bird hides with an opportunity to see the wide variety of species that visit the lough at this time of the year and learn more about their ecology.

Also included in the talk will be aspects of the history and heritage of Lough Neagh and Oxford Island.

After you have enjoyed the guided walk you will be able to head into the Loughside Cafe for one of their famous Sunday roast dinners (vegetarian option available).

The cost is £8 per adult and £5 per child. Tickets must be purchased in advance and places are limited.
