safefood is encouraging visitors of this year’s Balmoral Show to breathe new life into these old school games as part of its ‘Bring Back Play’ initiative to urge parents to get their children to be more active every day.

James and Mark McNeill from Ballymoney are pictured alongside safefood’s Roisin Aherne and Marian Faughnan as they get the opportunity to participate in a range of fun-filled activities such as hopscotch and hula-hooping.

They also got the chance to win a set of family bikes by voting for their favourite childhood game.

The ‘Bring Back Play’ initiative is part of Safefood’s all island campaign to take on childhood obesity by urging parents to make practical changes to everyday lifestyle habits which would make a big difference to their children’s future health.
