Kieran said: “The competition is open to all ages and we welcome solo singers, duets, etc. At the audition process you have to sing a song from a musical and if you qualify for the grand final on Sunday, May 8 the act will have to dress up as a musical star and perform the song from a musical of their choice.

“You could be Danny or Sandy from Grease, Christine from Phantom of the Opera, Belle from Beauty and The Beast, Pocahontas or Annie. The list is endless.

“This is an open competition and you do not have to be a member of any drama group to enter this show and if you happen to be a member of a drama group you are still more than welcome.”

Mr Corr concluded: “This competition is an opportunity for local people to show off the talent that we have within the borough of Craigavon and give them a chance to perform live on stage. I would like to thank Jonathan McGuinness and Richard Lappin from Mogul Studios for all their help to date with the concept of this new competition.”
