Search is on for Northern Irish star in the making

To celebrate the hugely popular Christmas show The Music Box returning to the Belfast Waterfront with this year’s brand new production Home for Christmas, PC Productions are joining forces with the Henderson Group and Citybeat to find some brand new talent, kicking off Monday August 25 on-air and online.

The winning talented teenager will win their place on stage during four shows from December 18-20.

Producer Peter Corry said: “We are delighted to bring this year’s brand new show The Music Box – Home for Christmas, to the Belfast Waterfront. The Music Box is in its sixth year and now seems so much part of Christmas in Northern Ireland. This year we are looking for fresh, new singing talent – we know it is out there, so are encouraging tuneful teenagers to enter for the chance of one of them to sing to thousands at this beautiful venue.”

Young singers between the age of 13 and 16 are invited to film their audition, visit the Spar NI Facebook page and click on the Spar Star app.

From there, their audition can be uploaded between Monday August 25 and Sunday September 21 and viewed by the judges, who will then decide on a shortlist to be announced in October.

The Music Box – Home for Christmas will hit the stage at the Belfast Waterfront from Thursday December 18 until Saturday December 20, including a matinee performance on Saturday 20.

The show will welcome two special guest stars this year; Andrea Begley from The Voice, and Ian McElhinney. They will share the stage with Peter Corry, The Music Box cast of hundreds and of course the Spar Star.
