Seven students of the Gospel Ministry

There will be seven students of the Gospel Ministry. The news was part of a report given to the Synod of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of Ireland, which met last week in Dervock.

The Rev John Hawthorne, the Moderator of the Synod, gave this news as part of his report on the work of the Church’s Theological College.

He said that each of these men would be available to be called by a congregation early in 2015.

Presently the Church has six vacant congregations. Some forty ministers along with their elders as well as representatives from other denominations attended the Synod.

Reports were received from the four Presbyteries and the twenty Committees that carry out Synod’s work throughout the year.

Reference was made to the progress of some new areas of witness, in Dublin, Letterkenny, Carrickfergus, Cookstown, Enniskillen and Waterford.

A Missionary Rally was held immediately following the Synod.
