Snow Patrol guitarist for Retro Bar!

The band ‘Little Matador’ fronted by Nathan Connolly will be hitting Portrush on Thursday, February 6.

The Atlantic Bar is the venue, for what promises to be one of the best gigs of 2014.

Of course Snow Patrol have been nominated for six Brit awards, won seven Meteor Ireland Music Awards and sold over ten million albums worldwide.

Now guitarist Nathan Connolly is focusing on another project, new band ‘Little Matadors’.

Connolly has been in Snow Patrol since 2002, and as lead guitarist and vocalist he’s toured the globe with the well known indie group.

‘Little Matador’ is a side project of Connolly’s, he’s joined by familiar faces Dave Magee (LaFaro) Gavin Fox (Idlewild) Troy Stewart (Tired Pony and The Windsor Player) and Paul ‘Binzer’ Brennan (Former Bell X1 and The Frames).

So what can you expect from ‘Little Matador’, well Connolly tells: “You can expect a raw and aggressive set.

“We are big on melodies and have a lot of fun doing the live show, fast and loud!

The Thursday night gig will also include a special one off set with DJ Terri Hooley.

Tickets will only cost £4 and will be available at the door the night of the show.
