SONI return withlive showcase gigs

Local promoters SONI return to their regular Lisburn home - Hague’s Bar on Chapel Hill - for the latest in their monthly series of live showcase gigs in the city on Thursday July 31.

This show will be headlined by one of the finest live bands in the country - Nasa Assassin, a band with many links to the city, and who know how to entertain a crowd.

Their sound combines huge riffs with clever songwriting, and a healthy dollop of humour at all times. Their shows at this venue are always special occasions, the intimate surroundings bringing the best out of them. This will serve as a warm up for their upcoming slot at Sunflowerfest 2014.

Special guests St. Hellfire are another band who deliver energy and passion in spades - fast, furious and entirely unpretentious rock’n’roll turned up to 11.

Also on the bill is The Racks - a brand new name on the local scene, this Lisburn quartet are playing their first ever hometown show, and promise gutsy garage rock with a post-punk edge. There will be another support act on the night.

Doors open at 8.30pm, and admission to the show is still only £4.50.

The SONI Lisburn showcases continue on the last Thursday of each month, and any local acts interested in playing should contact the team at www.facebook.com/soni.live.1 - the guys are also hard at work on Sunflowerfest, which is now just four weeks away, on August 22-24. All line-up details can be found at www.sunflowerfest.co.uk
