Spiegeltent a huge draw for music fans

Thousands of people have passed through the doors of the Spiegeltent, erected in Guildhall Square last week to house Pan Celtic Festival events.

The lead venue for the six-day festival, the venue brought the city very much into line with festival experiences in Europe, where pop-up venues are the norm, but there’s nothing like the folk of the north west for enjoying a night out and appreciating home-grown talent - like Thursday night, when Lonesome George performed a stunning opening set that paved the way for Tyrone’s Alana Henderson, a singer with an angelic voice. This in turn warmed the audience for the main attraction Declan O’Rourke.

The trio of acts had the audience on its feet by the end of the night, calling for more music.
