Spirit 2010 music fest

BALLYMENA Rugby Club is hosting this year's 2010 Spirit Music Festival which aims to raise money for Northern Ireland Children to Lapland Trust.

This charity takes terminally and long term ill children to Lapland to see Santa.

The festival will take place on May 29 and 30 at Eaton Park and throughout the weekend, groups from various genres will be performing on stage. Groups already confirmed include Pure Blarney, Jukebox Jurors and Stonewall.

There will also be food, drink and alternative entertainment over the festival.

Fiona Williamson, Northern Ireland Children to Lapland Trust, said: "The festival sounds fantastic and is a great idea. I can't thank Ballymena Rugby Club enough for choosing the NICLT to support; we are all thrilled. I will really look forward to seeing you all at Spirit Music Festival."

Some sponsors already on board are Ballymena Mortgage Centre and Ballyprint and the size of the festival will depend on sponsorship.
