The station can be found on 549MW.

Spirit Radio has been established in the Republic of Ireland since 2011.

The idea is to gain a foot hold on the whole island and minister into the different communities. Northern Ireland listeners can tune in to hear a mix of contemporary Christian and uplifting mainstream music, as well as challenging and positive interviews, Christian perspectives on the issues of the day, Scripture readings, testimonies and much more.

Even though there are no plans at the minute to have a base in Northern Ireland, Spirit Radio would like to receive contributions from their listeners here in way of stories, news, testimonies and events.

The station launched with only 10 volunteers and 12 presenters – and the team has nearly doubled since then.

Spirit Radio was originally launched in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway and Waterford. Since then, it is now broadcasting in Bray, Greystones, Wicklow, Dundalk, Naas, Newbridge and most recently Northern Ireland.

Spirit Radio seeks to communicate the Christian Gospel - the message that God has sent his son Jesus Christ to redeem us and bring us into a relationship with himself.

The radio station also hopes to illustrate the relevance of Christian faith to the ordinary issues of life, to showcase contemporary Christian music, to produce a first-class balanced news service, to have voices address the issues of the day, to introduce seekers to the Christian community and also to support charities and organisations.

The vision of the station is to be a vessel on air for people to rediscover the Christian church and lifestyle.

Spirit Radio aims to reach across all religious and denominational boundaries in Ireland, creating a positive attitude across the community.

“It has been a real joy to be a part of a wonderful team and to witness God providing miraculously and touching so many lives. Listeners tell us they have found fresh hope through Spirit Radio and how we have helped them take another step in their relationship with God,” said Rob Clarke, Director.
