The event, organised by the school’s Parent Teacher Association, attracted young and old alike who all enjoyed a range of festive, fun activities. Highlight of the day for the younger children was Santa’s grotto while the older children certainly enjoyed the chance to throw wet sponges at teachers! For the adults there was the Rickety Wheel, which gave parents and grandparents opportunities to win fantastic prizes, donated generously by local businesses. The double team of Gerry McAfee and Ciaran O’Loan helped empty a few purses and wallets.

Fundraising this year will go towards improving the infants’ library and supporting the school’s music tuition programme. The school’s Principal (Mr Malachy Conlon) was delighted with the Bazaar, ‘We have a wonderful sense of togetherness in this school. This was a real team effort with parents and staff coming together to work for St. Brigid’s PS and our wonderful children.’
