First up was Class A (KS1 Learning Support Centre) with Santa’s Vanishing Act which had the audience clapping along enthusiastically with the boys and girls. This was followed by the Foundation Stage’s (P1& P2) traditional nativity show, which this year was entitled I Spy Christmas. The nativity performance is always special for the parents and an important milestone in the children’s life in St. Brigid’s.

Class B (KS2 Learning Support Centre) took over next and they had the audience laughing all the way to the interval with their Christmas Rabbit play which had a leading role for their teacher,
Mrs McNally.

The second act of the Christmas Show opened with Key Stage One’s (P3 & P4) The Xmas Factor, which combined a Christmas tale with the well know TV programme. The children had their parents clapping wildly with their wonderful, finishing chorus which set everyone up for Key Stage Two’s (P5-7) A Show for All Seasons. The older pupils delivered well known hits, old and new, with a St. Brigid’s twist to a very appreciative
audience.

The show finished with the children’s beautiful singing of Silent Night, reminding everyone of the true meaning of Christmas.

Christmas is always a busy time in the school with the Bazaar, Advent prayer services, Christmas lunch and of course a visit from Santa.

Earlier in the month new parents attended St. Brigid’s Open Morning and prospective parents who would like to visit the school are invited to contact the Principal and arrange a meeting. You will be made feel very welcome.

All of the Christmas events are on the school’s website: www.stbrigidspsballymoney.com It is well worth a visit.
