‘Stitching and Unstitching the Troubles II’

Internationally respected textile art curator, Roberta Bacic has curated exhibitions all over the world and will be giving guided tours on Monday, 27 January, at 2pm and Tuesday, 4 February, at 7pm of the current ‘Stitching and Unstitching the Troubles II’ exhibition.

This is a North East PEACE III exhibition delivered by Causeway Museum Service and Mid-Antrim Museums Service.

The exhibition displays new art works created by community groups and individuals exploring their response to their own experience of the Troubles.

During these guided tours Roberta will discuss the technique used and how these quilts and arpilleras were created as a way for people to share their reactions to experiences of conflict.

Admission is free, however places must be booked in advance.

The exhibition runs in the Centre’s Ritter Gallery until 22 February 2014.

Galleries are open Monday-Friday 9.30am-5pm and Saturday 10am-2pm.
