North Antrim MLA Mervyn Storey has welcomed representatives attending a Community Relations Event at Stormont.

Among them was a party from Ballymoney displaying a quilt made by a group associated with the WAVE Trauma Centre in the town. The “Quilt of Remembrance” illustrates complex personal accounts from the Troubles. It took four years to complete.

Mervyn said: “This was a very worthwhile event. The Quilt of Remembrance particularly impressed me. The participants put their heart and soul into the making of this. It reflects the extremely hard work that WAVE do in Ballymoney, and the support their local team gives to our community.’
