Street Entertainment at the Fair
IF you are visiting the Lammas Fair this year, look out for local and visiting jugglers, singers, dancers and other street entertainers who will all be taking part in the annual Street Entertainer's Competition which takes place during the Lammas Fair on the Bank Holiday Monday, 30 August, from 2pm to 4pm.
The Arts Programme for Moyle District Council awards prizes, in both junior and senior categories, for those who can display their skill in this annual event which attracts thousands of people.
Speaking about the competition, the Arts Officer for Moyle District Council, said: “ This is a great chance to see a variety of street entertainers who contribute to the festive atmosphere of the Lammas Fair. Acts can be seen in the area from the Quay Road down to the Seafront on Monday afternoon.”
