Sync records to launch with Rebecca Mulhern show

Londonderry’s Nerve Centre has made a huge impact on the youth of the city.

In 2013, the Nerve Centre began their ‘Sync’ project, encouraging young people to pick up instruments and join bands.

The legacy is now set to continue as members of ‘Set the Stage’ present the launch of Sync Records, a local independent record company run from the Nerve Centre by a group of enthusiastic 15-18 year olds.

The label’s first signing, Rebecca Mulhern, became encouraged to play music through the Nerve Centre’s Sync programme.

Rebecca has been gigging for three years, mastering her craft. The release of her 5-track EP will be the first official release on the label with a special launch show to mark the event.

The launch gig will be held this Friday night, September 18 - as part of Culture Night 2015 - at St Augustine’s Church on the City Walls from 6pm.

It is free entry with copies of Rebecca’s EP on sale at the gig. This is set to be a highlight of Londonderry’s Culture Night, so don’t miss it.
