Talented Jasmine recordsa true Christmas classic

14-year-old Jasmine Gardiner sang a cover of the smash hit which was written by

composer andsongwriter Jule Styne and lyricist and songwriter Sammy Cahn.

The song was included in a Christmas video launched last month by Ground Espresso Bars, and featured in excess of 40 customers, friends and family.

It aimed to encourage consumers to shop local during the festive season.

Speaking about the experience Jasmine said: “I love to sing and I’ve always loved this song. I’m really excited about seeing the finished video. I really enjoyed the experience.”

“What’s even more impressive is that Jasmine recorded the track in less than an hour. The original composition was created by Richard Campbell from LSFX Productions.

Richard commented: “Jasmine is a natural.

“We’d set aside a whole day to lay down the vocal track and work with Jasmine but after a quick warm up we laid the track down in about 30 minutes.

“We’re very happy with the results.”

This song was first recorded by Vaughn Monroe and released in 1946.

“Let It Snow” became a huge hit, so much so that it inspired other artists to record it. Jasmine now joins singers like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Jessica Simpson and Michael Buble who have all covered this festive tune.

Although only 14 years old Jasmine has performed on stage in a wide variety of roles including Annie with Riverside Youth Theatre, Beauty and The Beast with Belfast School Of Performing Arts. She is playing the

role of Little Inez in Hairspray this January with Ballywillan Drama Group.
