Little Wednesday has grown up and fallen in love with a ‘normal’ boy from Ohio, called Lucas Beineke. But the Beineke family are FAR from normal...

Mal Beineke (played by Alan Morton) is a successful businessman. Mal says: “I worked hard to get where I am today. It’s not easy providing for a wife and kid - sometimes I think they don’t appreciate me.

“My wife Alice is always nagging at me not to work such late hours - and I can’t remember the last time I spent any quality time with Lucas, my son.

Alice Beineke (played by Elaine Macauley) has devoted her life to her family, her husband Mal and her son Lucas. But beneath the veneer of normality, Alice harbours ‘secret’ longings. As she talks in rhymes and randomly comes out with poems about love, it soon becomes clear that the passion has gone out of her marriage and she craves the craziness she and Mal shared in their youth.

Gareth Greenfield plays Lucas. “My character, Lucas Beineke is basically a man-boy, he wants to grow up and marry his delightful Wednesday Addams but at the same time he isn’t ready and has a lot to learn about himself and the world.”
