The Futureheads take it to the bridge

ON July 3 this year, The Futureheads will be igniting the main stage at County Down's new music festival Take it to the Bridge with their rousing, post-punk rock; a sound that has attracted legions of fans and won them support slots to the Pixies, Foo Fighters and Snow Patrol.

A tight unit for the last ten years, The Futureheads are known for their impressive live performances and have graced the stages of most major music festivals in the UK and Ireland including Glastonbury, Oxegen and Leeds & Reading - which they've just signed up to attend this year.

With three albums under their belts, The Futureheads have just released their fourth - The Chaos – an impressive collaboration of songs described as 'a fascinating product from a band that's been doing it for as long as this lot'.

The album includes successful hit single 'Heartbeat' which has regular airplay on all major radio stations including Radio One.

The Futureheads will be superseded by an impressive collection of up-and-coming signed talent to complete the Take it to the Bridge line-up.

The bill includes: And So I Watch You From Afar, The Complete Stone Roses, Spectrum 7, Panama Kings, Max Raptor, A Plastic Rose and Strait Laces.

Take it to the Bridge will also be holding a 'Battle to the Bridge' for unsigned acts, voting will take place on the website with further details of the winning prize to be announced soon.
