‘The Open Door’ at Vineyard Compassion

Located at the Vineyard’s premises at Hillmans Way, ‘The Open Door’ offers a unique service with a team of trained befrienders.

From January, the charity will be offering two drop-in sessions including a new Monday morning session from 11am-1pm.

This will run alongside the already popular Wednesday drop-in from 11am-1pm.

“It’s a service for everyone,” explained Mandy Forgrave from Vineyard Compassion.

“No one in our society should feel isolated, so that’s why we love to see new faces coming along.

“No day is ever the same - we have a great timetable of activities planned for the New Year including card and jewellery making, poetry writing and oil painting and we will also be welcoming guest speakers.

“The Open Door is a great social activity and there’s always plenty of laughter and plenty of coffee and tasty treats on offer.”
