BRITAIN’S hottest girl group The Saturday’s left Belfast ‘all fired up’ as they brought some festive cheer to the Odyssey last Sunday night when their All Fired Up tour came to the city.

The Belfast crowd were certainly in the mood to party as Christmas approaches, with Santa Claus even making an appearance in the audience, whilst others donned Santa hats.

The ladies, Una, Rochelle, Vanessa, Frankie and Mollie, brought the crowd through a variety of Saturday nights in history, from 1952 to 2011, and even Christmas 1995 showing younger versions of themselves, they had the audience on their feet dancing and singing along with all of their greatest hits and some top new tracks from their latest album On Your Radar.

Kicking off the night the girls emerged from an elevator, in a replica of the video for the hit single Notorious as they kicked the night off with a bang.

Donning the sexy office girl look, the girls got to ‘Work’, before a quick costume change saw them in tiny pink, red and black sequined outfits, while pregnant star Una donned a pretty dress in the same style to disguise her growing bump, which didn’t slow her down, except for one number with a fast paced dance routine, during which she left the stage for a ‘sit down and a cup of tea’.

Amongst the hits performed were Forever Is Over, the fabulous Ego, Issues and Just Can’t Get Enough, which had the Belfast crowd on their feet.

One of the stand-out performances on the night was new song Wish I didn’t Know, taken from the latest album release and which could be a big hit for the girls.

The girls then took us back to the start of their career as they sang their first two singles Up and If This Is Love, which was given a little bit of a make-over in a mash-up with Maroon Five’s Moves Like Jagger, as well as performing the hits Missing You and All Fired Up, as they said their farewells, leaving the crowd wanting more.

The girls certainly obliged, with five sexy Santa’s arriving on stage, only to unwrap the Saturday’s, donning glittering red Santa suits as they brought the snow and festive cheer with a rendition of Winter Wonderland, before finishing the night with their latest single, My Heart Takes Over, which is already a fan favourite, and ending the night on a ‘high’ with the huge hit Higher.

There have been a lot of great gigs at the Odyssey this year and The Saturday’s certainly helped to bring the year to an end with a bang.

Great songs, fantastic vocals and a fun show proved this girl band are the best in the business. The Belfast crowd certainly ‘just can’t get enough’.
