He has already been booked for numerous prestigious festivals this year and is hoping to spread his wings further as time progresses.

“Our aim is to ensure that we keep the dancers happy. There are people who come out to see bands every week and they are the folk who help to keep the business alive,” said Jim.

His string of record successes have propelled him into the limelight and now he is certainly reaping the benefits of songs such as ‘We’re here to stay’, ‘Leighann loves to dance,’ ‘Baby baby’ and ‘Saw you running’ with which he has become synonymous.

His band continues to put a strong emphasis on energetic stage performances, their fusion of quality country material, standards and the more popular 60’s numbers proving a hugely successful formula just now.

As well as playing in Ireland over the course of the summer we will be fulfilling engagements outside the country and we are looking forward to this as it will help open new doors for us,” Jim added.

There will certainly be an electric atmosphere at The Tannery on Friday night and the indications are that Jim’s fan base will have increased by the time he plays the last number of the evening.
