Olivier Nominee, Gerard Logan brings Oscar Wilde’s Searing Love Letter, De Profundis to the Island Arts Centre stage Friday November 27 at 8pm.
Brilliant, loving, witty and passionate, Wilde Without the Boy is a glimpse into the humbled, bruised, loving soul of one of Ireland’s greatest literary geniuses to have ever lived.
The dynamic one-man show dramatises the bitterly passionate letter Oscar Wilde wrote to his lover, Lord Alfred Douglas, from his cell in Reading gaol. Two years previously, Wilde had been imprisoned for acts of gross indecency with other males.
