Cecily Jackson play

The Georgia Rhoades play, ‘The Cook’ will be staged in The Playhouse from Wednesday, June 26 to Saturday, June 29, nightly at 8pm.

It is being staged by Black Sheep Theatre company, from the USA.

The story tells the tragic tale of Cecily Jackson, who was burned at the stake in Derry inn 1725. It was written by loyalist playwright Gary Mitchell who was commissioned by the Playhouse Theatre for the UK City of Culture 2013.

A special captioned and signed performance of the play will take place on Friday night at 8pm. Tickets for the show ate £14 or £10 concession, with a special discount of £10 on the opening night.
