The all girl band, whose brand of feminism was far from subtle, blazed a trail of controversy and carnage through the alternative metal scene.
Hungry For Stink, their fourth album, was L7’s most expansive - a beautiful mess of anarchy, angst and aggression. For me, it’s their finest hour, just shading 1992’s Bricks Are Heavy. GC
