Ciaran reimagines classics
Local musician Ciaran Lavery gets five gold stars for his new EP ‘Other People Wrote These’.
His vocal talent and songwriting ability were never in doubt, but here he adds another string to his bow by deconstructing and rebuilding four classic pop songs.
He manages to make Roy Orbison’s ‘I Drove All Night’ even more haunting than the original, while Pat Benatar’s ‘All Fired Up’ and Lionel Ritchie’s ‘All Night Long’ also benefit from the Lavery treatment.
