Come to the cabaret old chum

In what promises to be one of the most memorable theatre experiences of the year, audiences will be plunged into the decadent but decaying world of 1930s Berlin as the Belfast arts venue is transformed into the infamous Kit Kat Club for a night at the Cabaret.

The production features some of the best known hits in musical theatre history and is on at the MAC from September 16 until October 4.

The cast includes the very best home-grown talent with Belfast-born Kerri Quinn playing the lead role of Sally Bowles, alongside Matthew Forsythe who plays Cliff and Patrick J O’Reilly as the infamous Emcee.

The award-winning story, originally based on the stories of Christopher Isherwood, which has been performed throughout the world since its Broadway debut in 1966 and has inspired a film of the same name starring Liza Minelli, has moved audiences for decades due to the romance of Sally and Cliff in the unlikely setting of the Kit Kat Klub, the dark undercurrent of Nazi Germany and of course, the memorable songs.

Audiences can expect a very different experience at the MAC to the usual night at the theatre. Sitting cabaret-style, up close to the action on stage, the whole theatre space will be transformed into the Kit Kat Klub complete with cocktails served at your table.

The two special ticket packages available for the show include the ‘Sitting Pretty’ package, which allows you to sit cabaret-style in the midst of the recreated Kit Kat Club, and the ‘Perfectly Marvellous’ deal which includes an Absolut cocktail and a charcuterie board as well as premium tickets to the show.
